1. How much does it cost to hire a personal injury lawyer?

When you hire me as your personal injury lawyer, you won’t have to pay anything upfront. I work on a contingency fee basis, which means I only get paid if I win your case. Typically, my fee is 30% to 33% of the settlement or court award. I advance all costs associated with your case. If we don’t win, you don’t owe me any legal fees or expenses.

2. Why do I need a personal injury lawyer?

You need a personal injury lawyer because I can help you navigate the complexities of the legal system. From dealing with insurance companies to gathering medical records and understanding legal procedures, I’m here to take the burden off your shoulders. I’ll fight for a fair settlement and ensure you’re fully compensated for your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. My experience and negotiation skills can also help me secure the best possible outcome for you.

3. What type of compensation is available in my personal injury case?

In your personal injury case, there are several types of compensation I can help you pursue, including:

5

Medical Expenses:

This covers past, present, and future medical treatment related to your injury.

5

Lost Wages:

If your injury causes you to miss work, we can seek compensation for the wages you’ve lost.
5

Pain and Suffering:

You’re entitled to compensation for both the physical pain and emotional distress you’ve experienced because of the injury.
5

Property Damage:

If your property, like your car, was damaged, we’ll work to recover the costs.
5

Punitive Damages:

In certain cases, where the defendant’s actions were particularly reckless or intentional, we may be able to seek additional punitive damages.

4. How long do I have to file a personal injury lawsuit?

The time you have to file a personal injury lawsuit depends on the statute of limitations in your state, which is typically 2 to 3 years from the date of your injury. However, there are exceptions, and some cases may have a shorter deadline. It’s important that we act quickly to make sure we file your claim before the deadline expires, so I strongly recommend contacting me as soon as possible.

5. How much is my personal injury case worth?

The value of your personal injury case depends on several factors, such as:

5

The severity of your injury:

More serious injuries generally result in higher compensation.
5

Medical expenses:

The cost of your medical treatment and any ongoing care you’ll need.
5

Lost wages:

If your injury keeps you from working, we’ll factor in your lost income.
5

Liability:

The degree to which the other party is at fault will impact the value of your case.
5

Pain and suffering:

Your physical and emotional distress also plays a role in determining the value of your case.

I’ll work with you to assess these factors and give you a better understanding of what to expect.

6. How long will my case take to settle?

The time it takes to settle your case depends on several factors, including the complexity of the case and whether the insurance company is willing to offer a fair settlement. Some cases may settle within a few months, while others may take longer, especially if we need to go to trial. On average, it takes about 6 months to 2 years for a case to settle, but every case is different. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process and make sure we are always working toward the best outcome as efficiently as possible.

Let me know if you have any more questions, and I’m happy to guide you through the process.
